Xiaomi POCO X6 Neo officially teased after Realme 12 release
Himanshu Tandon, the head of POCO India, has hinted at the release of a new mid-range smartphone. For context, Tandon has implied that the unnamed device will surpass the Realme 12, which launched earlier this week in India. Predictably, the head of POCO India has not directly named the POCO smartphone in question.
Instead, Tandon informed his Twitter followers that they 'should REALly wait for 'Neo' upgrade'. Based on recent leaks, Tandon is referring to the POCO X6 Neo, which would be the third POCO X6 series device after January's releases of the POCO X6 (curr. $288 on Amazon) and POCO X6 Pro. Additionally, while the head of POCO India has not outlined the device's launch date, rumours point towards the POCO X6 Neo arriving between March 11 and March 17.
For reference, the POCO X6 Neo is anticipated to contain a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. Moreover, the device is thought to feature a 120 Hz and 1080p display that spans 6.67-inches, as well as 108 MP primary, 16 MP front-facing and 2 MP depth of field cameras. In other words, the POCO X6 Neo may end up serving as the global version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, a device that Xiaomi released last year in China.
