Vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro: Leaked promo images show waterproof foldables with 64 MP periscope telephoto camera
After a recent leak with details about the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, the promo images embedded below have now appeared on Weibo, revealing many specifications of the X Fold3 series before the expected official launch in March. The promo images confirm that the foldables are thinner than the Vivo X5 Max, measuring less than 5.1 millimeters in height.
The future models are said to be "lighter than traditional smartphones", but there is no exact weight specification. The Vivo X Fold3 series is IPX8-certified and, therefore, fully waterproof. Both models in the series have a foldable 8.03-inch main display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a 6.53-inch secondary display with the same peak brightness, an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a variable frame rate. Vivo has installed a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera, which also has OIS.
According to earlier rumors, the periscope lens with triple zoom is reserved for the Pro model, while the cheaper model has a 50 MP telephoto camera, but both devices rely on a 1/1.3 inch sensor in the main camera, the Vivo V3 ISP and Zeiss lenses. In addition to the telephoto camera, the processor is said to be the big difference between the basic and Pro models - while the Vivo X Fold3 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the X Fold3 Pro will likely feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The devices have a 5,500 mAh battery, which can be charged via USB-C with up to 120 watts or wirelessly with 50 watts.
