Xiaomi expands Redmi Note 13 series: New Redmi Note 13R Pro with 120 Hz OLED and 108 MP presented
While Xiaomi is launching the new C65 with its Poco brand in Europe today, a new smartphone model has been officially unveiled on the domestic market with its Redmi brand. After an extensive leak a few days ago, the Redmi Note 13R Pro has been officially released quietly and secretly in China.
The new Redmi Note 13R Pro expands the Redmi Note 13 series introduced a few months ago with another model. This previously consisted of the Redmi Note 13, the Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, which are also expected in Europe at a later date. It remains to be seen whether this will also apply to the Note 13R Pro. The predecessor Redmi Note 12R Pro has not been officially released in this country. Perhaps Xiaomi will "recycle" it for another smartphone, e.g. from Poco. There are also rumors that it could be launched on the Indian market as the Poco X6 Neo.
In China, Xiaomi is selling the new model in only one memory variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage space for a price of 1,999 yuan, which is the equivalent of a good 250 euros. The device is available in three colors: black, blue, and gold.
In terms of technology, the Redmi Note 13R features the Dimensity 6080 SoC with 5G support, which is already available in the Redmi Note 13. Various other specifications are also the same. The 6.67-inch OLED panel has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and refreshes at 120 Hz. It houses a 16 MP front camera in a punch hole, while a dual camera with a 108 MP main sensor with 3x digital zoom and a 2 MP depth sensor is installed on the back. The manufacturer also combines a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W charging speed, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
