Redmi Note 13 and 13 Pro Plus build up to global launch with FCC approval
The Redmi Note 13 series of potentially affordable new Android smartphones seems poised to go global very soon, with two of its members successfully completing FCC testing. They are the top-end Pro Plus (or Pro+) model, accompanied by what is probably the international version of the vanilla 13. Both have exhibited MIUI 14, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and NFC in their new certifications.
The Redmi Note 13 series (Global Edition) seems closer and closer to reality by the day, especially as the smartphones have now started to appear on the FCC databases. The Commission has gotten 2 variants from either end of their 5G spectrum thus far: the vanilla 13 5G and the flagship Pro+ variant.
The latter has passed through FCC testing under the global version of its model number, whereas the Note 13 has done so as the 2312DRAABG. Both smartphones ran MIUI 14 based on Android 13 in this new leak, and boasted tri-band Wi-Fi with low-energy Bluetooth and NFC.
It also now seems that the Note 13 Pro+ might have 8 to 12GB of RAM on the international market with 256GB of internal storage, with an additional 512GB option for the 12GB SKU. These Redmi Note 13 units are still thought to land before the end of 2023 and may or may not be accompanied by R variants in some markets.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
