Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus launches with hardware improvements while maintaining mid-range price tag
Xiaomi has finally officially unveiled the Redmi Note 13 series, less than a year after it introduced initial Redmi Note 12 models. As expected, the Redmi Note 13 series starts life as Chinese exclusives. However, Xiaomi is likely to bring the likes of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus to market globally at the start of next year, albeit perhaps with slightly different specifications.
At any rate, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus utilises the new Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, which Xiaomi claims MediaTek has optimised for the device's Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition primary camera sensor. For reference, the latter maintains the same overall specifications as the regular ISOCELL HP3, such as a 200 MP native output, an f/1.65 aperture and a 1/1.4-inch optical format.

Additionally, Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 2,712 x 1,220 pixels (1.5K) with 12-bit colour depth, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Moreover, Xiaomi underpins the large display with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120 W wired charging, as well as IP68 certification against dust and water ingress. Furthermore, Xiaomi intersects the device's 6.67–inch display with an optical fingerprint scanner and a 16 MP front-facing camera, plus 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro rear-facing lenses.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus starts at CNY 1,899 (~US$261) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, Xiaomi sells the handset with 512 GB of storage in 12 GB and 16 GB of RAM combinations for CNY 2,099 (~US$288) and CNY 2,199 (~US$302), respectively. At launch, Xiaomi offers the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus in Midnight dark, Mirror white, Light dream and AAPE colour options, all with the same underlying hardware.
