Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G arrives as new entry-level option for equivalent to US$150
The Redmi Note 13 5G has debuted in China, a mid-range smartphone that measures 161.11 x 74.95 x 7.6 mm and weighs 173.5 g. For reference, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 13 5G alongside the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, which we have covered separately. As their names suggest, the Redmi Note 13 5G is the cheapest of the three and is currently the entry-level option in the Redmi Note 13 series.
According to Xiaomi, it has equipped the Redmi Note 13 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Like the rest of the Redmi Note 13 series, the Redmi Note 13 5G has a 16 MP front-facing camera that intersects its large display, but just 108 MP primary and 2 MP depth of field rear-facing cameras. Moreover, the handset makes do with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging, plus a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is available in China from CNY 1,099 (~US$151) with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the handset comes in three other memory configurations, finishing with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. As far as we can tell, Xiaomi is offering all memory configurations in three colour options, which it describes as Midnight Dark, Time Blue and Star Sand White. Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 13 5G as follows in its home market; there is no word yet on global availability.
