The X40 GT is back in the form of its new Racing Edition. It drops the original black and mint colorway for new Racing Black and Racing Silver, along with a Magic Night Black without the habitual racing stripe.
It still has the round rear camera hump of the original GT, however, and of the vanilla X40 besides that. However, the Racing Edition does pull away from those variants by starting with 12GB of RAM for the first time.
The new and improved spec is paired to 256GB or 512GB internal storage options, although their prices have yet to be announced. The rest of its specs are said to be the same as those of the original GT, although that would give the new version a 144Hz display driven by a former flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Nevertheless, it may have reached its hihonor.com reservations page too late: the famous leaker Digital Chat Station now asserts that the updated X50 will get its own GT variant soon.
