The first Honor X60-series device is now projected to drop soon, but not necessarily as a successor to the X50 GT, Pro or even the vanilla X50, based on its estimated price. It is tipped to fall into the 1,000 yuan (~$138) or less bracket in China, yet be mistaken for a much higher-end Android smartphone thanks to its build.
The X series has been defined by the Star Ring-style camera hump (as also rocked by the Magic5 Lite for the international market) for multiple generations now - nevertheless, the allegedly upcoming entry-level model might have something different, yet "popular" among higher-end devices (like this one also recently linked to Honor?...surely not).
It might also benefit from the durability hype as started by the X50 and its official "5-star" drop-resistance certfication from SGS, and have a "large" battery - although that might be less of an achievement given the 5,800mAh rated capacity of its predecessors. Then again, it is also thought to debut with the quad-curved display type already touted to go viral among higher-end handsets soon.
All in all, the as-yet unnamed X60 variant is now backed to "challenge flagships" despite its starting price by legendary leaker Digital Chat Station.
