Honor has chosen the name "200 Pro" for a successor to the 100 Pro Android smartphone, according to leaker @MyplaceMyworld. However, according to the same X/Twitter account, the 2 devices will look little alike.
Despite all the work put in to make some of the strangest camera humps out there (like this 90 Lite on Amazon) for itself, Honor might have just given up in producing its next generation. The alleged 200 Pro's first render depicts it as having adopted the exact same rear camera layout as that of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, albeit with a much more regular oval surround in the new image.
Should that tip prove accurate, it would make Honor look suspicious in the extreme - were it not for the fact the brand was once part of Huawei and probably has inherited a legacy of design IP to work through to this day.
The "200 Pro" camera hump also bears some inscriptions suggesting that it will be hyped as a "50X" (albeit most likely digital rather than optical) zoom and variable-aperture lens smartphone. Then again, the latter might not match up to that of the Pura 70 Ultra with a range of 1.9-2.4.
The camera hump as portrayed here might be found on two-toned rear panels featuring vegan leather in choices of silver, green or pale teal. Based on the typical Honor xx0-series launch schedule, the 200 Pro and its possible siblings might start to make official appearances by the end of May 2024.
