The long-awaited, first-gen Xiaomi Mix Flip has finally started to gain approval from Chinese regulatory agencies to launch - despite the fact that it had allegedly gone through that same process before.
However, according to legendary tipster Digital Chat Station, the version of the Mix Flip (or 2405CPX3DC) newly discovered on the 3C database is the one without support for satellite messaging and/or calls. That might sound slightly less exciting - then again, the alleged existence of this plain 5G variant might boost its chances of making it onto the international market.
The inaugural Xiaomi clamshell would face opposition from much more established lines from Samsung and Motorola lines on the global stage. Then again, the Mix Flip might have an edge on even the latest Galaxy Z Flip5 or Razr+ (now back down to $699.99 on Amazon), which can only charge at top speeds of 25W and 30W respectively.
Their possibly impending Xiaomi rival, on the other hand, is now certified to use the brand's 67W wired standard - even faster than current front-runners such as the 44W Vivo X Flip and OPPO Find N3 Flip.
Paired with rumors of an ultra-slim build and Leica-branded rear cameras, the Xiaomi Mix Flip might indeed fly ahead of its competition should it launch any time soon.
