Redmi K70 with Xiaomi 14-esque charging boost spotted in new 3C listing

The Redmi K70 series are projected to land as true flagship smartphones, featuring multiple upgrades such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Now, according to famous leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS), that SoC will drive the brand's latest "ultra-narrow"-bezel, high refresh rate and power-efficient 2K display in the K60-series' successors.

The devices are also now thought to firmly dump the partially plastic construction of some previous generations for an all-metal frame, and to switch to more K60 Ultra-like camera humps, thereby underpinning their premium appeal. The resulting K70-series chassis is thought to pack ~5,000mAh batteries across the board.

On that note, the upcoming brand flagships might have started to find their way through 3C testing ahead of their possibly imminent launch. This rumor is said to pertain to the vanilla K70, as it is linked to the model number 2311DRK48C as opposed to the one now linked to its putative Pro sibling on Geekbench.

Should that be the case, it seems it is making the same upgrade as the Xiaomi 14, which is also now said to launch compatible with a 90W power brick rather than the slower 67W accessory of its predecessor. (Confusingly, however, DCS also seems to indicate that the K70 will be capable of 100W charging despite coming with the MDY-14-EC in the box).

Then again, the K70 Pro still stands to outdo it in this regard with a minimum of 120W charging on its debut.
