Redmi K70 series officially set for early launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
Redmi has now confirmed that the K70 series of Android smartphones is on the way. The brand refers to the devices as its "2024 flagships" thanks to their next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoCs; then again, the line-up is also now backed to be announced long before that year starts. They are also thought to do so with additional upgrades in the areas of display and charging technology.
Redmi has just confirmed that it will unlock access to the "K70 Universe" soon. The brand's next flagships still lack an official launch date, yet are backed to do so "sooner than expected" as well as "stronger than expected" as the brand's first-ever Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagships.
The K60 series' successors are thought to consist of 2 if not 3 new smartphones, all with the latest and greatest Qualcomm processor available to them. They are also now officially touted to "challenge" other devices with the same new platform in terms of performance.
Accordingly, the Redmi K70 series might even now be locked in a race with the 14 series from sister brand Xiaomi to debut as quickly as possible now that their new platform has been officially unveiled. The former might also now have a new smartwatch to accompany them on stage during their official event.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
