New Redmi smartwatch appears in NRAA and EEC certifications

Certifications at bodies, including the NRAA and the EEC, have revealed a new Redmi smartwatch. Details of the Bluetooth wearable remain unclear, including an official launch date. The mysterious new model would follow the Redmi Watch 3 series, which launched globally earlier this year.
Smartwatch Wearable

A new Redmi smartwatch has been certified by the National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) in Korea and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), an arm of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The wearable has model number M2315W1 and features Bluetooth; no further information has been revealed about the device as of yet.

Earlier this month, listings were also spotted at the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore and TÜV. Again, they listed a Bluetooth smartwatch with model number M2315W1 but provided no other details. The latest smartwatches from Redmi include the Redmi Watch 3 and the Redmi Watch 3 Active, also known as the Redmi Watch 3 Lite or Youth Edition, which launched globally earlier this year. The Redmi Watch 3 has a rectangular 1.75-in AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness. Features include built-in NFC and GPS tracking. The cheaper Redmi Watch 3 Active has a larger 1.83-inch LCD with the same screen refresh rate and a lower peak brightness of 450 nits.

Both models support heart rate and blood oxygen level monitoring. The Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Watch 3 Active are on sale in countries around the world, retailing for US$129.99/€119.99 and US$69.99/€39.99, respectively. It remains unclear when Redmi will officially unveil its mysterious new smartwatch, and how closely it will resemble the Redmi Watch 3 series.
