Zepp Health has launched an update for the Amazfit Falcon smartwatch, announced on social media. The latest firmware brings several new features and improvements to the wearable, which arrived last year. The model last had a significant update in August with the upgrade to ZeppOS 2.0.
The current update brings a new Map app to the Falcon, providing offline access to imported maps, which could be helpful on more adventurous trails with poor signal. You can now view your recovery heart rate metric in the notification centre on the smartwatch; this insight can help you gauge cardiovascular health and fitness. Plus, Zepp Health has made tracking your distance covered during an activity easier with improved reminders of your progress, and the Zepp Coach history has been enhanced.
It’s now easier to find your most frequently used activity types on the Falcon by adding these to your workout list. Other improvements include more personalization settings for your cycling power meter data and a better UI for performance reminders provided in real time. Finally, display-waking has been tweaked for a more effortless experience. You can check for the update by going to the Zepp app > Profile > Amazfit Falcon > System Update. It is unclear whether these features could soon reach other wearables, like the Amazfit T-Rex 2.
