Garmin has rolled out a new beta update for various smartwatches, including the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro. Issued as Beta Version 15.68, the new update contains 40 changes from Garmin's last stable update, including 13 new features.

Garmin has pushed a major new update for Epix 2, Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7 series smartwatches. To recap, the company started rolling out v14.68 as a stable update roughly two weeks ago, which itself arrived about ten days after the same build appeared in beta form. Now, Garmin has jumped straight to Beta Version 15.68, which also updates GPS, Sensor Hub and Wireless software versions to v7.02, v27.17 and v28.05, respectively.

Unfortunately, Garmin continues to prevent Tactix 7 and the MARQ Aviator Gen2 from receiving beta builds. Also, Beta Version 15.68 will only become available if you tap 'Check For Updates' on a smartwatch enrolled in Garmin's Beta Program. Additionally, Garmin notes that it has pushed 35 new Audio Prompt files, which will be downloaded before Beta Version 15.68.

Thus, it should be normal to see your smartwatch continuously cycle through 'Downloading - completed - downloading - completed' messages for a short period. As for Beta Version 15.68 itself, Garmin has included 13 new features, even more bug fixes and several software refinements. Please see the changelog below for the full differences between v14.68 and Beta Version 15.68, such as a new Nap widget and the ability to detect if you lose your smartphone during an activity.
