New Rogbid Rowatch 5 smartwatch measures blood pressure as well as blood sugar and launches with massive discount
Rogbid has launched a new smartwatch, the Rowatch 5, which is on sale at a low price thanks to a massive discount and, according to the manufacturer, can even measure blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Rogbid has made a name for itself with inexpensive wearables. The manufacturer is now launching a new model, the Rowatch 5, which follows the recent launch of the Rowatch 5S, the women's model. The new smartwatch is strongly reminiscent of the Amazfit Bip 5, but is cheaper and, according to the manufacturer, offers more functions.
The RRP of the Rogbid Rowatch 5 is US$79.99. However, it can be ordered directly from the manufacturer at the greatly reduced price of only US$29.99, which saves buyers US$50. It is available in two colors: Shadow Black and Dawn Gold.
The Rowatch 5 from Rogbid is equipped with a 2.1-inch display with "3D flexible surfaces" and a resolution of 320 x 386. There is a rotating crown on the right side of the rectangular case, which is IP67 certified and so protected against dust and water. Among other things, it can be used to operate various menu functions.
Sensors for health functions are located on the underside in the usual manner. In addition to the usual 24/7 pulse and SpO2 measurements, the new Rogbid Rowatch 5 is said to be able to measure temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. But a certain degree of skepticism should always be exercised in regard to the measurement results of blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Other features include sleep tracking, over 100 sports modes and Bluetooth telephony. The manufacturer claims that the 300 mAh battery provides up to 12 days of runtime, depending on usage.

I have been fascinated by technology for around 25 years – especially technology that makes life easier rather than more complicated. Mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are particularly close to my heart as is the booming subject of smart homes. I have been working in these areas for several years now as a news and reviews editor. I have been active with various websites, including the smart home blogs homee, Nuki, and siio, as well as tech portals such as Giga and TechRadar. I have been writing news and laptop reviews for Notebookcheck since 2020.

Growing up in regional Australia, I first became acquainted with computers in my early teens after a broken leg from a football (soccer) match temporarily condemned me to a predominately indoor lifestyle. Soon afterwards I was building my own systems. Now I live in Germany, having moved here in 2014, where I study philosophy and anthropology. I am particularly fascinated by how computer technology has fundamentally and dramatically reshaped human culture, and how it continues to do so.
