Garmin has released a new beta build for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro series. Also available across Epix 2, Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7 series smartwatches, the update introduces over 10 changes, including a few new features.

Garmin has begun rolling out a new beta update for the Fenix 7 series and its various siblings. For reference, the company moved Epix 2, Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7 series smartwatches onto v15.xx builds last week with Beta Version 15.68. In summary, the update contained roughly 40 changes from v14.68, including over a dozen new features.

Now, Beta Version 15.69 is ready for public consumption, albeit only for smartwatches enrolled on Garmin's Beta Program. While the version change implies that Beta Version 15.69 is more or less the same as its predecessor, Garmin has included eleven lines in the build's changelog. Please note that your smartwatch will need to download 35 new Audio Prompt files before updating to Beta Version 15.69 if you skipped this process when installing Beta Version 15.68.

Principally, Beta Version 15.69 focuses on addressing bugs that are present in its predecessor. For example, there are four lines dedicated to fixes for potential shutdown issues. Additionally, Beta Version 15.69 should resolve a bug that prevented calendar and notification apps from launching properly. Moreover, this week's beta build adds a workout audio note preview on steps with videos, as well as a 'View Climbs' option for cycling races. The full Beta Version 15.69 changelog is as follows:

  • Added 'View Climbs' option for cycling races.
  • Added workout audio note preview on steps with videos.
  • Fixed issue with city search in the weather app.
  • Fixed issue with pace in workout alerts.
  • Fixed issue with translation of Inline Skating.
  • Fixed potential issue where calendar and notification apps would not launch properly.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when transferring a workout with audio notes.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when using redshift.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when using the touch keyboard.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when viewing Breathwork in Body Battery factors.
  • Improvements and fixes to the time zones app.
