The ASUS ROG Ally is now cheaper in various markets. Arriving a few days after the launch of the Lenovo Legion Go, the €100 markdown coincides with a recent round of updates for the ASUS ROG Ally that adds a new 1,600 x 900 screen resolution option, among other improvements.

The ROG Ally has had a busy week of sorts, despite launching almost six months ago. Not only has ASUS pushed a new round of updates for its sole gaming handheld, but it has also discounted the device in a few regions. As far as we can tell, the ROG Ally is currently cheaper in Europe and the US, but not in other markets like the UK.

For now, only Best Buy has reduced the gaming handheld in the US, where it is now available for US$619.99, a US$80 reduction on its MSRP. Seemingly, this discount will be active during the retailer's Black Friday promotional period; please see Best Buy's website for full terms. Either way, it is possible to purchase the ROG Ally with a Ryzen Z1 Extreme for US$20 more than its Ryzen Z1 counterpart.

By contrast, it appears that ASUS has dropped the ROG Ally's MSRP in Europe. Specifically, both APU variants are now selling at €100 markdowns for €599 and €699, respectively. While ASUS has not explained the adjustment, it has appeared within days of the Lenovo Legion Go's official launch. For reference, ASUS' recent update roundup is as follows:
