Garmin has brought a new round of bug fixes to the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro. Also available for the Epix 2, Enduro 2, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7, Beta Version 15.71 is available to download now from smartwatches enrolled on Garmin's Beta Program.

The Fenix 7 series and its peers have received another update for those enrolled on Garmin's Beta Program. For reference, about a week has passed since Garmin released Beta Version 15.69, an update that brought almost a dozen improvements to the Fenix 7 series, as well as to Epix 2, Enduro 2, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7 smartwatches. Now, the company has readied Beta Version 15.71, which falls short of Release Candidate status.

Thus, it could be another week or so before Garmin finalises a stable update derived from this round of beta builds. In a forum post, the company explains that it is already at 50% rollout with Beta Version 15.71, with the remaining percentage likely receiving the update within the next day or so. However, you can request the update now even if your smartwatch falls outside the target rollout percentage by heading to Menu, System, Software Update and then tapping Check for Updates.

In the same post, Garmin explains that it has bundled six changes from Beta Version 15.69. Please note that all are bug fixes this time around, which suggests that Garmin is close to wrapping up this round of beta updates. The full Beta Version 15.71 changelog is as follows;

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the flashlight strobe feature from working in-activity.
  • Fixed issue with hourly forecast data in the weather app.
  • Fixed issue with widget glance name while using large font mode.
  • Fixed potential issue with loading of smart notification images.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when a large number of maps are loaded.
  • Fixed potential shutdown when reviewing a map location.
