Samsung Galaxy Fit3 to launch with new sensors and larger display
Windows Report has shared high-resolution render images of the Galaxy Fit3, an unreleased fitness tracker that recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. While pricing and availability remain unknown for now, Galaxy Fit products have been the cheapest wearables in Samsung's product stack. Thus, the Galaxy Fit3 will likely retail for significantly less than the Galaxy Watch6 series, which currently starts at US$269 on Amazon.
Arguably, a highlight of the next Galaxy Fit will be its larger display, which Samsung has also sat within a rounded housing. Incidentally, the Galaxy Fit3's rectangular design makes it look more like the Honor Band 7 than the Galaxy Fit2. Likewise, the new Galaxy Fit's watch bands disappear into its case. However, two pill-shaped buttons on the top and bottom of its chassis suggest that the Galaxy Fit3 supports quick-release watch bands.
Moreover, Samsung has revamped its sensor array for the Galaxy Fit3 too, which looks larger than those it included in the Galaxy Fit2. Windows Report has revealed any specifics yet, although we suspect the Galaxy Fit3 will feature heart rate and SpO2 monitoring at the very least. Similarly, the website has not disclosed the operating system on which the Galaxy Fit3 is based. Presumably rtOS derived rather than Wear OS, its appearance on the FCC implies that Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Fit3 soon.
