Samsung withdraws Android 14 and One UI 6 update schedule for three dozen devices
Earlier this week, Samsung published a One UI 6 roadmap in which it outlined when various smartphones would receive Android 14. As we discussed at the time, Samsung included over 30 devices ranging from the Galaxy Z Fold5 to mid-range options like the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 (curr. US$329.88 on Amazon). Additionally, older flagships like the Galaxy S21 series and Samsung's third-generation foldables made the cut, as well as the Galaxy xCover5.
Supposedly, over half a dozen devices should have started receiving One UI 6 upgrades in some capacity, including the Galaxy S22 series. However, nothing has come of it so far. Instead, Samsung has withdrawn the community post instead. Thus, it appears that the release schedule was inaccurate enough to be removed rather than simply edited.
Unfortunately, Samsung has not published any new information since. Hence, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra remain the only devices to receive One UI 6 stable builds so far. Presumably, Samsung will communicate a full release schedule soon, although it remains to be seen when that will be the case. Still, Samsung has outlined full One UI 6 changes on a dedicated website.
