Samsung Galaxy A25: Various specifications surface as official images leak online
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has now published initial documentation for the Galaxy A25, a handset that first surfaced in June. More recently, the same device appeared on Geekbench under the model number SM-A256B, seemingly with the same Exynos 1280 chipset that Samsung already uses in the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy M33.
As always, the FCC has not revealed too many details about the unreleased device. Instead, it outlines that it will support Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 ac) connectivity, as well as a 5G modem, unlike its predecessor. Conversely, the FCC confirms that the Galaxy A25 will be capable of recharging its unspecified battery at 25 W, a wattage that Samsung offers across most of its smartphones, excluding the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra for now.
Meanwhile, Android Headlines has managed to obtain what appear to be official Galaxy A25 marketing images. According to the website, Samsung will sell the handset in black, light blue, lime green and blue-grey colourways, although there is no indication that these are the company's final names. At any rate, the Galaxy A25 looks visually unchanged from this year's model, save for different colourways and what may well be slightly thicker display bezels. While a release date remains unknown for now, Samsung tends to refresh its Galaxy A2x smartphones in late Q1 or early Q2.
