According to a new report, Samsung has now confirmed details of its next Galaxy Unpacked event with South Korean media. As previous rumours suggested, the successors to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra (curr. US$1,079.99 on Amazon) are expected to arrive at the beginning of 2024, mirroring recent Galaxy S generations.
Supposedly, Samsung has settled on January 17 for the date of its Galaxy S24 launch event, but in San Jose and not San Francisco, as Sedaily claimed last month. Reportedly, pre-orders will commence after the event, during which Samsung is also rumoured to unveil the Galaxy Book4 series. At the time of writing, specifications for five models have leaked online, including the flagship Galaxy Book4 Ultra.
However, Samsung may not start shipping any Galaxy S24 series pre-orders until January 26 at the earliest. For reference, while The Elec cites Samsung Electronics employees, Samsung's communications department did not confirm the website's assertions. Thus, we would recommend treating The Elec's statements with some scepticism for the time being.
