Various specifications for the Galaxy Book4 Ultra have surfaced online, courtesy of a typically reliable source. Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Ultra will be one of the first laptops to combine an Intel Meteor Lake processor with a dedicated graphics card, among other upgrades from the Galaxy Book3 Ultra.

Windows Report has revealed full specifications for the Galaxy Book4 Ultra, Samsung's next flagship laptop. To recap, initial details about the series surfaced last month through a recent Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) listing, which outlined a few changes from the current crop of Galaxy Book3 models. As we have discussed previously, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Book4 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Book4, Galaxy Book4 Pro, Galaxy Book4 360 and Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, specifications of which we have covered separately.

According to Windows Report, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra is said to utilise the Core Ultra 9 185H, a Meteor Lake architecture processor that can boost to 5.1 GHz with 24 MB L3 cache. Unfortunately, the website has not disclosed the processor's CPU core configuration, although its 'H' suffix implies that it will have a 45 W TDP at its disposal. Based on other leaks, the Core Ultra 9 185H has 16 cores split between 6 P cores, 8 E cores and 2 SoC cores, which combine to deliver 22 threads.

Windows Report lists 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM too, which should be significantly faster than the LPDDR5 equivalent in the Galaxy Book3 Ultra (curr. US$1,700 on Amazon). Additionally, the website adds that Samsung will complement the Core Ultra 9 185H with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, the same discrete GPU (dGPU) found in its predecessor. Still, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra is the first laptop known to combine Intel Meteor Lake processors with a dGPU.

Moreover, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra is rumoured to contain a 16-inch AMOLED display (2,880 x 1,800) within a 355 x 250 x 16 mm and 1.86 kg housing. Other areas remain unchanged from the Galaxy Book3 Ultra as well, including two M.2 2280 slots, a 76 Wh battery and quad speakers. Supposedly, Samsung will allow the Galaxy Book4 Ultra to recharge at 140 W, matching recent MacBook Pro 16 machines. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra is said to feature the following ports, regardless of the SKU chosen:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x HDMI
  • 1x MicroSD card reader
  • 1x USB 3.2
  • 2x Thunderbolt 4
