The flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 185H chip has shown up on Geekbench. It packs six performance, eight efficiency, and two low-power efficiency cores and boosts up to 5.0 GHz.

Intel's flagship Meteor Lake laptop chip isn't due to hit shelves until next year. Mid-rangers such as the Core Ultra 5 135H have already shown up on Geekbench, and now, it is the Core Ultra 9 185H's turn. Its performance isn't nearly as impressive as one would think, but one can chalk that down to inconsistent clocks.

The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H scores 1,803/1,773 and 9,806/9,787 in Geekbench 5.4's single and multi-core tests. Specs-wise, it has a base clock of 2.5 GHz and can boost up to 5.0 GHz. A cursory glance at the processor's frequency shows some throttling at play. This should ideally be fixed before the product launches next year.

Specs-wise, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H is identical to its predecessor, the Core i9-13900H, with the addition of two low-power E cores. It has six performance and eight efficiency cores for a total of 22 threads. Despite that, it falls behind the flagship Raptor Lake processor in both single (1,975 median) and multi-core (13,768 median) performance. The mystery laptop powered by the Core Ultra 9 185H packs 64 GB of RAM and runs Windows 11.
