The Galaxy Book4 Ultra is probably Samsung's flagship laptop for 2024, as it can be maxed out with Intel Core Ultra 9 processors. However, it allegedly has an upcoming sibling that might prove even more interesting due to its switch to the new Snapdragon X Elite platform.
Curiosity has got to the cat about this device, as famous leaker Ice Universe now purports to confirm that this Ultra alternative will be called the Galaxy Book4 Edge on its launch. However, the tipster seems fixated on its new name rather than its change of silicon.
Ice Universe's musings invite speculation that the choice of moniker is a call-back to the Edge in Galaxy Note Edge, Samsung's most headline-worthy device of 2014 with its breakthrough in curved display tech. Its features might finally have gone extinct in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, yet arguably influenced that device's evolution and design to this day.
Accordingly, it is possible that the Edge's rumored Galaxy Book4-series namesake might resurrect that profoundly curved legacy in some way; then again, it is more likely that the new name merely denotes its choice of breakthrough processor.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 14 is now available on Amazon.
