Less than twenty-four hours has passed since Roland Quandt shared a brief glimpse at ASUS' first Qualcomm Snapdragon X-powered laptop. For reference, the company had already hinted that it intended to release the laptop as a new version of the Vivobook S 15 OLED, which yesterday's leak reinforced. Also, it turned out that multiple retailers had listed the Vivobook S 15 OLED ahead of schedule, including ASUS itself, with the Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-78-100) and the unreleased Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100).
Now, Quandt has provided a better look at the Qualcomm-powered Vivobook S 15 OLED, which ASUS will distinguish from its AMD counterpart with the model number 'S5597QA'. Principally, the leaker has shared official promotional images, which we have embedded below. Nonetheless, it is possible to make out that ASUS has included the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x MicroSD card reader
- 1x HDMI
- 2x USB Type-A
- 2x USB Type-C
Additionally, the laptop has a 15.6-inch OLED display that outputs at 2,880 x 1,620 pixels, advertised as 3K, with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 600 nits peak brightness. Moreover, ASUS has equipped the S5597QA with a number pad, a large trackpad and a six-row chiclet keyboard. On top of that, ASUS advertises the laptop as delivering up to 18 hours of battery life, all within a 14.7 mm and 1.42 kg housing. ASUS will reveal the Vivobook S 15 OLED (S5597QA) on May 20, likely as part of a wider Qualcomm Snapdragon X laptop release including Dell, Microsoft, Lenovo and other Windows OEMs.
