Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 16-inch showcased in convertible and conventional laptop designs
Today, Samsung has introduced new challengers to the MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16, marketed as the Galaxy Book4 Pro 14-inch and Galaxy Book4 Ultra, respectively. However, it has also announced 16-inch versions of the Galaxy Book4 Pro that differ a few aspects from their smaller 14-inch sibling. For reference, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 16-inch and Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16-inch share the following hardware:
- Display: 16-inch AMOLED, 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, 48~120 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5/Core Ultra 7
- RAM: 16 GB/32 GB LPDDR5X
- Storage: 512 GB/1 TB PCIe SSD
- Battery: 76 Wh (65 W charging)
Please note that the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16-inch has a convertible design, as its '360' branding suggests. Thus, the 360 model is slightly larger and heavier than its Galaxy Book4 Pro 16-inch sibling. Specifically, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16-inch measures 355.4 x 252.2 x 12.8 mm and weighs 1.66 kg. By contrast, the standard Galaxy Book4 Pro 16-inch comes in at 1.56 kg with 355.4 x 250.4 x 12.5 mm dimensions.
Additionally, the 16-inch pair offer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Moreover, Samsung includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, as well as single HDMI 2.1, MicroSD card, 3.5 mm and USB Type-C connections. Incidentally, only the 360 model supports stylus input, for which Samsung includes an S Pen in the box. Unfortunately, the company has not shared full pricing details yet. Instead, it has merely confirmed that the Galaxy Book4 Pro 16-inch and Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 16-inch will be available from next month in its home market of South Korea.
