Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 and 16 refreshed with Intel Meteor Lake and Arc hardware

Lenovo has refreshed the IdeaPad Pro 5i (curr. $870 on Amazon) with current-gen Intel Meteor Lake processors. Both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions have been upgraded. Lenovo hasn't specified if all configurations will be available when the laptops hit shelves, which will happen later in the month. Prices start at $1,149.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i can be configured with "up to an Intel Core Ultra 9" processor. One can pair it with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X (embedded) memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. GPU options range between a GeForce RTX 4050 and an Intel Arc. The latter was demonstrated earlier this year, running some beefy AAA games at respectable framerates thanks to XeSS.

Everything else is essentially the same across generations, including screens. The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 gets a 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800) OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Its 16-inch version is available in two configurations: 2K (2,048 x 1,280) and 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600), with the rest of its specs remaining identical to the 14-inch version.

Other Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i features include a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port (power delivery + display output), 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, and an SD card reader. On the wireless front, there's Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Its FHD camera has an IR sensor for Windows Hello and a physical privacy shutter.
