Samsung has brought forth another MacBook Pro 16 challenger. Replacing the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra features a robust set of components, including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU and an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. Samsung has improved its 'Ultra' in various areas from its predecessor too, including switching to 140 W charging.

Samsung has upgrade its Ultra branded laptop and MacBook Pro 16 competitor, which is now on its fourth generation model. As extensive leaks suggested, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra will be configurable with a combination of Intel Meteor Lake processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs. Also, these will be paired with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 2 TB of PCIe storage.

Currently, Samsung has not revealed full details of the processor options in which the Galaxy Book4 Ultra will be available. Instead, it only states that the laptop will come with Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 9 options, possibly the Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 9 185H. Additionally, Samsung will offer the Galaxy Book4 Ultra with RTX 4050 and RTX 4070 options, which feature 6 GB and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, respectively.

Although Apple offers the MacBook Pro 16 with a 99.6 Wh battery, Samsung is content with including a 76 Wh capacity in its alternative. Still, Samsung allows the Galaxy Book4 Ultra 16 to recharge at 140 W, matching the MacBook Pro 16 and a 40 W increase over the Galaxy Book3 Ultra 16. Like last year, the new Galaxy Book Ultra will only be available in a Moonstone Grey finish with a 16-inch display.

Seemingly, Samsung has re-used last year's AMOLED panel though, which continues to output at 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with 400 nits peak brightness and a 48~120 Hz variable refresh rate. Likewise, the Galaxy Book4 Ultra 16 retains its predecessor's ports, with three placed on either side. Please see our video below for what to expect from Intel's new Meteor Lake series.
