Recently on Reddit, Bethesda has outlined its forthcoming updates for the space-themed game Starfield. Scheduled for 2024, Bethesda intends to incorporate AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) technology into Starfield, as well as Intel's XeSS technology into the game, ensuring compatibility with the resolution upscaling features provided by major GPU manufacturers.
FSR 3 will introduce AMD's Frame Generation technology to Starfield, expanding the game's support beyond Nvidia's exclusive DLSS Frame Generation, which is currently exclusive to the RTX 40 series. AMD's FSR 3 Frame Generation technology, on the other hand, caters to a broader range of graphics cards, democratizing access to Frame Generation capabilities.
Moreover, Bethesda is actively developing new features such as City Maps, mod support, and innovative methods of travel for Starfield. The studio is also dedicated to resolving bugs and enhancing the overall gaming experience. Bethesda's original statement can be found below.
