A new trademark listing has confirmed Starfield's new DLC will be called Starborn. It will be the games second (and probably last) story-based DLC and will launch after Shattered Space.

Earlier this year, Todd Howard confirmed Starfield would get another story-based DLC after Shattered Space, which is due to launch later this year. An X user by the name @bogorad222 (via Insider Gaming) has found a patent listing that gives us its name: Starborn.

Unfortunately, that's all we know about Starfield's second (and possibly last) expansion for now. As its name suggests, it could expand more on the origins of Starborn, an intriguing faction that the player eventually becomes a part of following the game's ending. However, there are plenty of questions around their origins and motives, some of which could be answered in the DLC.

If Shattered Space drops later this year, Starborn could be headed for a 2025 launch, with a possibility of it being pushed back to 2026. Plus it will not be free like Shattered Space, which is included with the Starfield's Premium Edition. Its success fully depends on how Shattered Space is received by fans, with some rumours stating it is akin to Fallout 4's Far Harbor.
