Starfield turns one, Bethesda gives more details on Shattered Space expansion
Today, Starfield, one of the biggest releases of 2023, has turned one. For Bethesda, Starfield was the first IP acquired in the last 25 years. To mark the occasion, and to celebrate the game’s success, Bethesda put up a post on X (Twitter).
The game developer thanked millions of players for their support, and making it an “incredible first year” for Starfield. The post then went on to give more details about the upcoming expansion.
“We have much more coming, beginning with our first story expansion, Shattered Space, releasing September 30,” the post read.
According to Bethesda’s X post, the Shattered Space expansion will have -
- More than 50 new locations across Va'ruun'kai that players can explore
- New grenades that can be crafted from organic materials (it is hinted that it’s going to be gross)
- The new update will bring in new formidable enemies
- New content related to Zealots, Spacers, or the Crimson Fleet
Bethesda ended the post by saying that more details on Shattered Space will be shared soon. Considering that the expansion is scheduled for launch on September 30th, we can expect a trailer and other details soon enough.
In addition to the Shattered Space expansion, Bethesda is planning for another DLC. As per rumor, the DLC will be released after Shattered Space and might be named ‘Starborn.’
Starfield was released in September 2023, and the game is currently available on Xbox Series X (curr. $447.99 on Amazon) and Series S, GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Windows PC.
