It seems the tipsters and leakers that share tech details on X (formerly Twitter) cannot come to a consensus in regard to the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Dummy units of the device have already turned up and just recently we reported on a supposed engineering prototype. This time around, we have some quite impressive concept renders to look at and even a glimpse at the actual Galaxy S24 Ultra itself (allegedly).
Things are kicked off by SuperRoader, who has shared some concept images that were created with the help of Technizo Concept. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is decked out in a light gold colorway with views from the front and rear revealing the display shape and camera equipment layout. The S24 Ultra has a slightly curved edge in these renders, with the tipster claiming a “0.3-0.4 mm” curve is present while the top and bottom bezels of the phone have been shrunk to half the size of those sported by the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
This rejection of a flat display has not been taken lightly by renowned leaker Ice universe though. This source has even produced numerous partial shots that supposedly feature the real Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra itself, including cropped images that show the Galaxy S24 Ultra next to either a Galaxy S22 Ultra (available on Amazon) or an S23 Ultra. It is clear to see in one of the images that the 2024 model's display is both much flatter and with a greatly reduced bottom (“chin”) bezel than the 2022 model. In fact, the tipster goes as far to exclaim “the screen itself has no curvature, 0 curved surface.”
Funnily enough, Ice universe has a bet with Super Roader in regard to who is correct about the S24 Ultra display, with the former claiming he will eat the smartphone in a live video if found to be wrong. There are expectations that Samsung will launch its Galaxy S24 series at an event in early 2024, with January 17 having been mentioned as the likely date.
Super Roader still doesn’t know what’s wrong with its renderings.

One of the mistakes is that the S24 Ultra's mid-frame is curved and there is no flat area.
This alone is enough to prove that he is wrong, and if he insists that he is right, then he was lied to or he deliberately… pic.twitter.com/oi9m2yFo7w
