Xiaomi Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro leaked hands-on images confirm pre-launch specification differences

Hands-on images of two forthcoming Redmi K series handsets have surfaced online before Xiaomi's next Redmi launch event. For context, Xiaomi confirmed last week that it would launch new Redmi devices on November 29, including the Redmi Book 16 and Redmi Watch 4. However, the company is expected to wait until early next year before bringing its new Redmi devices to other markets, which is also true of the Xiaomi 14 series.

Allegedly, the devices pictured below are the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro, two of three Redmi K70 series handsets after the Redmi K70E. If legitimate, the images confirm the pair's model numbers as 23113KC6C and 23117RK66C, respectively. Additionally, they reveal two key differences between the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro, although design is not one of them.

Instead, it appears that the Redmi K70 will utilise the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a chipset that Qualcomm only superseded last month with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As previous leaks suggested, Xiaomi has based the Redmi K70 Pro around the latter, which is anticipated to be available with up to 24 GB of RAM. Similarly, while the Redmi K70 has three rear-facing cameras like its Pro counterpart, only the Redmi K70 Pro will have a dedicated 2x zoom camera.
