The official Redmi Weibo handle revealed some of the RedmiBook 16's key specs. It will use an Intel Core i5-13500H CPU, LPDDR5X 6400 memory and come with two dedicated fans.

It has been a while since Xiaomi refreshed its RedmiBook line of laptops. Last year, the RedmiBook 15 Pro 2022 got the Alder Lake treatment, but its 16-inch cousin, the RedmiBook 16, is still stuck on Ice Lake (10th-gen). Promotional material on Weibo suggests Xiaomi plans to refresh it soon with Raptor Lake processors.

One upcoming RedmiBook 16 variant is slated to use an Intel Core i5-13500H. The 12-core (4P + 8E) processor will be accompanied by an unspecified amount of LPDDR5 6400 memory and an Iris Xe iGPU. A version with a dedicated GPU (US$2,267 on Amazon) seems unlikely because Nvidia appears to have given up on the MX line altogether.

The aforementioned Redmi Book 16 is said to have a base TDP of 47 W, 2 Watts above the stock value. Exactly how Redmi/Intel plans to implement this remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the laptop comes with two dedicated fans to keep thermals in check. Xiaomi plans to unveil the RedmiBook 16 on November 29 alongside the Redmi K70 series.
