Xiaomi debuted the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 in China last year as a premium business laptop with powerful Intel Alder Lake processors on board. As has become typical with Xiaomi, the company has now refreshed the laptop with a CPU upgrade, while adjusting prices to reflect the fact that it's actually a year old at this point.
As brought to light by WhyLab, the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 has now been refreshed with a new CPU, trading in the original Intel Core i5-12450H for a slightly upgraded Core i5-12500H. From available benchmarks, the Core i5-12500H seems to offer around a 20% performance bump compared to the Core i5-12450H.
According to the source, other specifications of the laptop remain the same. That means a 3.2K 90Hz display with an 89.02% screen ratio, a 72 Wh battery, 100 W charging via Type-C, HDMI support, a 3.5mm jack, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, and two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports.
As for pricing, the refreshed laptop looks to be priced about CNY 800 lower than it originally was. The entry-level model with an i5-12500H and iGPU is now listed at CNY 4799 (US$695). 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage come as standard.
