RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition: 16:10 gaming laptop released with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 combination
Xiaomi has announced a Ryzen Edition of the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022, a laptop launched in March with Intel Alder Lake processors. Like the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 Ryzen Edition, RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition relies on the Ryzen 5 6600H or Ryzen 7 6800H, depending on the model chosen. The 15.6-inch model also has a dedicated GPU option though, along with an SD card reader.
Specifically, the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition is available with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050, a GA107-based card with 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Confusingly, NVIDIA bases the GeForce RTX 2050 on its Ampere architecture, despite its RTX 20 series name. Additionally, Xiaomi includes LPDDR5 RAM, PCIe 4.0 storage and an IPS display that outputs at 3,200 x 2,000 pixels. Incidentally, the 16:10 panel operates at up to 90 Hz with 400 nits of peak brightness and a 1,500:1 contrast ratio.
At launch, Xiaomi will offer the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition in four configurations, unlike its 14-inch counterpart. However, all will ship with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. While an international release remains unknown, the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition will be available at the following prices in China:
- Ryzen 5 6600H/Radeon 660M: CNY 5,499 (~US$827)
- Ryzen 7 6800H/Radeon 680M: CNY 6,099 (~US$917)
- Ryzen 5 6600H/RTX 2050: CNY 6,699 (~US$1,007)
- Ryzen 7 6800H/RTX 2050: CNY 7,299 (~US$1,098)
