Redmi's General Manager Lu Weibing has introduced the Xiaomi sub-brand's answer to Apple and its Far Out Event of today (September 7, 2022) with the latest additions to a growing line of gaming hardware.
The star of this competing show is a new take on what ships internationally as the RedmiBook Pro 2022 series; however, this new G Pro variant takes a flagship role with a larger 16-inch display with a 2.5K resolution. It also improves on the 15 2022 with a 240Hz refresh rate and RTX 3060 graphics to go with its Ryzen 7 6800H APU.
The display also has a 16:10 aspect ratio, is TÜV eye-safety certified and supports the HDR 400 standard, although at a rating of 500 nits, it could be a little brighter.
The new G Pro Ryzen Edition also features USB type-C connectivity to go with its HDMI 2.1 port. It has been put up for pre-sale in China from now at a price of 7,599 yuan (~US$1,088) - hopefully, it will also get a global re-brand soon.
