Lenovo has announced the Legion Y32p-30, described by the company as a 'powerful display for immersive gaming'. Equipped with a 31.5-inch IPS panel that is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, the Legion Y32p-30 offers 10-bit colour depth, a 4K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate and a USB hub, among other features.

Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Y32p-30 as part of its IFA 2022 showcase. As its name suggests, the gaming monitor has a 32-inch panel, rounded up from 31.5-inches. According to Lenovo, it has equipped the Y32p-30 with a WLED backlight and an anti-glare panel that operates at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels (4K) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Unsurprisingly, the Legion Y32p-30 complements its high native resolution with a fast refresh rate. Specifically, Lenovo has opted for 144 Hz, rather than the even faster 165 Hz, 240 Hz or higher that are becoming more commonplace for gaming monitors.

Additionally, Lenovo claims that the Legion Y32p-30 offers 0.2 ms response times (MPRT), a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a 400 nit peak brightness level. Accordingly, the panel is DisplayHDR 400 certified and offers 10-bit colour depth. Incidentally, Lenovo promises that the Legion Y32p-30 will deliver 90% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB colour space coverages, as well as 16 local dimming zones. Moreover, the monitor should ship with Delta E<2 factory calibration and has a 'Natural Low Blue Light' mode for reducing eye strain during long gaming sessions.

Separately, Lenovo includes two HDMI 2.1 ports for support with current generation games consoles and high-end graphics cards. Similarly, the Legion Y32p-30 has a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and has a 32.4 Gbps bandwidth across four PCIe lanes. Furthermore, the monitor features five USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports of various standards and has dual 5 W speakers or a 3.5 mm audio out if you plan to use external audio equipment.

The Legion Y32p-30 will be available in 2023, although Lenovo has not confirmed when yet. However, the company states that the monitor will be available for €999 in the Eurozone when it does come to market. Presumably, Lenovo plans to sell the Legion Y32p-30 in multiple markets too, not just the Eurozone.
