The Alienware AW2723DF is a gaming monitor that Dell is aiming at eSports gamers, with a 1440p resolution and a 280 Hz overclockable refresh rate. Dell boasts that the Alienware AW2723DF is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified too, as well being AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible.

Dell has set its sights on the eSports community with the Alienware AW2723DF, a 27-inch 'Fast IPS' gaming monitor. According to Dell, the Alienware AW2723DF utilises an LP Nano IPS panel, which operates natively at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Additionally, the display is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, meaning that it peaks at 600 nits when viewing HDR content. Alternatively, the monitor offers 450 nits of brightness, along with 1 ms GtG response times in Extreme Mode and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.

Moreover, the anti-glare panel can run at up to 144 Hz when connected over one of its two HDMI 2.0 ports, or 280 Hz if you use DisplayPort 1.4. Please note that the monitor has a 240 Hz native refresh rate over DisplayPort, but Dell allows people to overclock it to 280 Hz. Unsurprisingly, Dell has included AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-SYNC and VESA AdaptiveSync support for refresh rates up to 280 Hz.

Furthermore, the Alienware AW2723DF has 3-zone AlienFX lighting within the Alien Head, power button and the phazor graphic. Separately, the monitor features an adjustable stand, built-in cable management and a retracable headphone stand. Handily, the Alienware AW2723DF has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 upstream port and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, plus a lock slot and two audio outs. The Alienware AW2723DF will be orderable in the US from October, where it will retail for US$649.99. Dell is yet to provide pricing and availability for other markets yet.
