LG has introduced the UltraGear 45GR95QE, its latest gaming monitor. Equipped with a curved 45-inch display, the UltraGear 45GR95QE offers 1440p visuals with a 240 Hz refresh rate and excellent response times, thanks to its reliance on an OLED panel.

LG has presented the UltraGear 45GR95QE as it continues to expand its UltraGear gaming monitor series. To recap, only a few weeks have passed since the company started selling the UltraGear 32GQ850, UltraGear 32GQ950 and UltraGear 48GQ900 in Europe, three gaming monitors that it introduced at various points throughout 2022. As its name suggests, the UltraGear 45GR95QE is a 45-inch monitor, an unusual size for a gaming monitor.

Incidentally, the UltraGear 45GR95QE offers the same panel size as the Xenon Flex 45WQHD240, a gaming monitor that Corsair announced yesterday. Seemingly, the pair rely on the same panel, although Corsair allows people to use the Xenon Flex 45WQHD240 as a curved or a flat gaming monitor. In comparison, the UltraGear 45GR95QE is solely a curved gaming monitor with an 800R curvature. Additionally, the gaming monitor can be manually tilted -2º to +15º, swivelled ±10º and has a height adjustable stand that can automatically move within a 110 mm range. For some reason, the UltraGear 45GR95QE cannot be pivoted.

Separately, the UltraGear 45GR95QE has an OLED (AGLR) panel that offers 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR10 support and 0.1 ms GtG response times. Also, the UltraGear 45GR95QE outputs at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels (WQHD) with a 240 Hz refresh rate. While the UltraGear 45GR95QE lacks built-in speakers, it comes with a remote controller and the following ports:

  • 2x HDMI 2.1 x 2
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.4 x 1
  • 3x USB 3.0 Type-A - 1x upstream, 2x downstream (4pole H/P out (DTS HP:X))

Unfortunately, LG has not confirmed how much the UltraGear 45GR95QE costs, nor when it will be orderable. For context, LG sells the UltraGear 48GQ900 for US$1,499.99 in the US, so we would not be surprised if the UltraGear 45GR95QE arrived for around this price tag. LG will showcase the UltraGear 45GR95QE at IFA 2022 between September 2 and September 6. It remains to be seen when the company will provide details about the gaming monitor's pricing and availability, though.
