Xiaomi Notebook Pro 120G and 4K Smart TV X Series get hyped ahead of their Indian-market debut
Xiaomi has announced that new electronics from 2 categories will hit the Indian market soon. The intriguingly-named Notebook Pro 120G will join a "series" of 4K smart TVs that, while new to this country, might be re-brands of products already on the Chinese market. Nevertheless, with the bezels and specs as advertised or hinted at thus far, prospective customers are unlikely to care all that much.
Xiaomi India has invited its audience to enjoy a "New View" with a product from its upcoming, potentially premium hardware event. This upcoming launch seems to revolve around 2 main devices thus far: the Notebook Pro 120G, and Smart TV X series.
The OEM has released laptops of very similar names in China and India before; however, there is no guarantee that one of those up-to-RTX 3050 Ti units and the Pro 120G will be significantly similar to each other. Its unfamiliar new suffix could also indicate a number of special selling points, an upgrade to Alder Lake platforms or a 120Hz display refresh rate included.
As for its companions under the #YourNewView theme, their well-touted main spec suggests that these are the 55- and 65-inch Redmi Smart TV X (2022) variants coming to a new market. A novel teaser in which the K in '4K' is made up of what looks very like their thin bezels reinforces this impression.
Therefore, they might make welcome additions to the Indian smart-screen market, ex-Redmi status notwithstanding, on August 30, 2022.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
