Sony Bravia Z9K 8K Mini LED TV will shortly launch in Europe with PlayStation 5 exclusive features
Product listings for the Sony Bravia Z9K have appeared on several European sites, including the UK, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden and France. The pages list the devices as “Coming soon”, and the company has confirmed that you will shortly be able to pre-order the devices; an exact launch date is yet to be confirmed.
Sony first revealed the 8K Mini LED TV during CES at the beginning of the year. The devices use the Cognitive Processor XR to deliver remarkable brightness levels, and XR 8K upscaling technology brings content to near 8K quality. The TVs are fitted with speakers and Acoustic Multi-Audio, providing engaging audio synced perfectly with the video.
Built-in BRAVIA CAM lets you control the TV with gestures and make video calls. The TV has an HDMI 2.1 port supporting 4K 120 fps for gaming. Plus, two exclusive PS5 features are included on the Z9K to automatically optimize the gaming experience: Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.
In Europe, the 75-in model is expected to retail for €7,999 (~US$7,939), while the larger 85-in version will cost €11,499 (~US$11,413). Customers in the UK will be able to buy the smaller TV for £7,499 (~US$8,822) and the larger 85-in version for £9,499 (~US$11,175). You can already buy the Sony Bravia Z9K in the US, with shipping estimated to begin on August 23. Here, the 75-in variant costs US$6,999.99, and the 85-in model retails for US$9,999.99.
