Sony has indicated that its new range of high-end Smart TVs will be cheaper than expected. Reportedly, the Bravia XR A95K could retail for US$4,000 as a 65-inch TV, while the 43-inch Bravia XR X80K may arrive for as little as US$600.

HDTVTest has unearthed details about the prices of Sony's latest Bravia XR Smart TVs, such as the A75K. Announced earlier this month and in January at CES 2022, the new suite of Bravia XR TVs was thought to cost upwards of €6,000 in the case of the A95K. However, HDTVTest has deduced that the entire range could be much more affordable.

As explained in the video below, HDTVTest has calculated how much TV will cost based on the 'Sony Reward Points' that people will receive. Sony awards one point per US dollar spent, making it simple to determine the X80K, X90K, X95K, Z9K, A80K, A90K and A95K's retail price.

Based on these calculations, the A95K will cost US$3,000 as a 65-inch TV, and US$4,000 for the 65-inch model. For reference, the A95K is the world's first QD-OLED TV, which combines Quantum Dot and OLED technologies. In comparison, the lesser A80K will retail for US$1,800 and US$2,300 as a 55-inch and 65-inch TV, respectively.

In saying that, the Z9K, available as a 75-inch or 85-inch 8K TV, will start at US$7,000. Unfortunately, Sony remains tight-lipped about when it will begin selling its latest Bravia XR TVs, despite listing some of them on its website.
