Samsung announces launch date for 2022 Neo QLED Mini LED TVs
Samsung has revealed that it's 2022 Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs will launch for pre-order across Europe in March. The new range builds on the existing Neo QLED line-up, improving multiple areas. There are six TVs in the series, with the QN900B as the flagship model.
Firstly, 14-bit HDR mapping has been added to the Quantum Mini LED light source to add more detail in exceptionally bright or dark scenes. Shape Adaptive Light is added to Quantum Matrix technology that controls the Mini LEDs to improve image quality further.
The sound of the QLED TVs has been upgraded, with the surround sound speakers now supporting Dolby Atmos technology. Object Tracking Sound functionality has also been added, so the direction of sound mirrors the image on the screen for a more immersive experience.
Available screen sizes range from 43" to 85" (~109 to ~216 cm). Some devices have 4K@144Hz available, plus Motion Xcelerator technology and a low input lag for an enhanced gaming experience. There will also be a dedicated Samsung Gaming Hub and a Cloud gaming integration. The TV comes with an HDMI 2.1 port and a built-in Smart Hub to connect with other smart gadgets.
The 2022 NEO QLED TVs will be available to pre-order across March in multiple European countries, including Spain from 7th March, Benelux countries from 14th March, and the UK from 16th March. You can pre-register, with an exclusive discount of up to €300 (~US$340) promised in some countries for those who sign-up. Samsung is yet to reveal when the TVs will be available for the rest of the world.
