Deal: Sony's brand-new Bravia X80K 4K HDR TV sees first notable discounts on Amazon
It's spring time, which means that many home theater enthusiasts around the world are getting ready to check out a plethora of newly released television sets, most of which debut at sky-high retail prices that often decrease over the course of the current model year 2022. However, Sony's latest entry level 4K HDR TV called the Bravia X80K is already seeing some notable discounts on Amazon just a couple of weeks after its official release.
The popular 65-inch variant of the Sony X80K for example is currently sold for US$898 at Amazon, which results in a solid US$102 discount in comparison to the MSRP of US$1,000. Prospective TV buyers with a smaller room can also snatch the reasonably sized 55-inch version for US$748 instead of US$800, while the even more affordable 43-inch and 50-inch Sony X80K variants get the same US$52 discount and are currently offered for US$598 and US$698 respectively.
As a direct successor to the Bravia X80J, Sony's new entry-level 4K HDR TV is once again equipped with a colorful IPS panel that features great viewing angles and a native refresh rate of 60 Hz. Only the 50-inch version of the Sony X80K apparently sports a VA panel according to a first review video posted on YouTube. All model variants support Dolby Vision content on Netflix and other popular streaming apps than run on the versatile Google TV operating system, which also allows the side loading of Android applications. For budget-oriented TV buyers, this early deal on the Sony X80K is certainly a sensible choice as the affordable 4K HDR set will perform well in bright rooms with a wide seating arrangement.
