Sony has announced that its BRAVIA 2022 X80K 4K HDR TVs are now available from select retailers in Europe. The X80K, unveiled at CES earlier this year, has a 4K HDR processor X1 for a richly detailed image.
Content filmed in HD or 2K is upscaled by the device to close to 4K using 4K X-Reality PRO technology and a 4K database. These LCD TVs have a direct LED backlight with Dolby Vision and Triluminos Pro technologies. The TV is available in a range of sizes, from 43 to 75-in (108 to 189 cm) in diameter diagonally.
The TV has two built-in X-Balanced speakers to provide clear Dolby Atmos sound. For gamers, the gadget has Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and is HDMI eARC compatible with four HDMI 2.1 ports. It’s worth noting, however, that the device doesn’t have a variable refresh rate.
The device comes with Google TV, with a single Watchlist that you can amend from the TV or your phone or laptop. You can control the TV using voice commands or a voice remote control. Alternatively, you can connect to the product using Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2.
The BRAVIA X80K 4K TV is already available to purchase in the US, starting at US$599 for the 43-in model, as leaked in February. European guide prices for each model are listed below.
