A new wet and dry vacuum from Xiaomi is now crowdfunding, the Mijia all-round sweeping robot. The mopping robotic vacuum cleaner has suction power up to 4000 Pa. The device can mop at up to 180 rotations per minute for a deep clean removing tough stains.
The gadget comes with two water tanks and a 2.5l dustbin for up to 30 days of hands-free cleaning. After a clean, the robot will return to the dock and remove the collected dust to the bin in 10 seconds at 17,000 Pa. The water tank is replenished and the mop cleaned at the dock. A hot-air drying tool can ensure the mop is dry within 2 hours to keep it clean and odorless.
The smart mop assistant will intelligently distribute water, and the gadget can detect carpets and immediately stop mopping. The Mijia all-round sweeping robot has S-Cross AI, a smart obstacle avoidance system that can detect everyday household objects such as furniture, cables, and trainers.
You can control the device through the Mijia app or Xiao AI voice commands. You can also use the app to schedule cleaning later or to connect the robot vacuum to other smart home devices, such as an air purifier, so all your cleaning happens simultaneously.
You can pre-order the Mijia all-round sweeping robot in China for 3,999 yuan (~US$628). After this presale period, the price will increase to 4,599 yuan (~US$723). It is unclear whether or when the robot vacuum and mop could be released in other markets.
