A new update for the homee modular control panel is now available. Update 2.36.0 includes a new feature, and multiple devices have been added to the compatible products list.
The homee system uses a smart home hub with modular extensions. You can connect a Brain cube, which stores encrypted data locally, to cubes that can connect to various smart home products. For example, the Zigbee cube works with IKEA and Philips Hue gadgets.
A new feature named Watchdog has been added to improve the process of switching a connected gadget on or off. If a device doesn't respond straight away, the tool will run a series of five checks to try to switch on the device. The homee will trigger a notification to the user if the problem persists. You have the option to disable this Watchdog feature should you wish.
Also included in the update is the ability for any Hörmann BiSecur and Warema WMS Pipe Motor, Intermediate Plug, Dimmer Smart, and Bundle Awning devices to be queried cyclically. This feature enables the gadgets to be used as triggers in homeegrams, simple smart home device programs.
The LED trading wall switch, LED Trading power strip, and a range of Gledopto lights are now supported by homee. A bug fix for EnOcean devices with the D2010F profile is also in the update, integrating the "Automatic Shutdown" feature.
The iOS and Android updates are now available through the Apple App and Google Play stores. It is unclear how homee is rolling out the web app update.
